The current population, resources and environment has become bound by China's economic and social sustainable development in the main "bottleneck", and the geology of the serious shortage of IT personnel is a "bottleneck" of the important reasons. Geological science and technology the size of personnel training should be guided by the principles of what are the geological development of institutions of higher learning and educational administration departments have to face, but also very specific issues, those related to national geological higher education development strategy. However, the development of long-term education and lack of long-term strategic planning, serious lag and the geological development of the industry demand for IT personnel.Therefore, the scale of geological science training forecasts, for colleges and universities to guide the direction of the geological development of personnel training, development scale, the realization of the geological reserves of industry science and industry professionals of scientific development, are of great significance.Geological science and technology training are the size of the forecast of geological science and technology of China's colleges and universities training an important area of research content. Geological science and technology training not only by the size of the geological industry subjective and objective factors, and personnel training will be to the scale of the reasonableness of the higher education community and the geological impact of a lot of their own.In this paper, for the target year 2016, the future of Geological science and technology personnel from the geological point of view of demand, To the quantitative prediction method based,Combination of qualitative analysis of geological science and technology of China's colleges and universities training size (enrollment and school size) were predicted. Large amounts of data through the use of our talents and geological geological college and graduate enrollment of students in an analysis of the current situation of supply and demand. And the use of predictions in the forecast trend extrapolation method, regression analysis, forecasting and prediction of three gray prediction method, respectively, of our college personnel training scale of geological science and technology have been predicted,these three methods and then based on the combined forecasting method to predict, to draw the results of combination forecasting. Results in the portfolio on the basis of combination of school-age population in higher education, college enrollment, college enrollment rate and gross domestic product (GDP) forecast the results of the combination of amendments,obtained in 2009-2016 Geological Science and Technology College of personnel training of the predictive value of a reasonable size and appropriate average annual growth rate. Finally, from various angles, respectively, to predict the results are analyzed.Through analysis of the results of the forecast, we can see that this article of the 2009-2016 forecast of geological science and technology in training colleges and universities can meet the scale of geological industry over the next few years the demand of geological science and technology. Geological science and technology training colleges and universities the size of the growth in the number of continuous progress in line with the overall development of higher education and geological science and technology talent supply and demand of the general trend of the underlying trend, its size on the growth rate slowed down, school-age population in higher education is also in line with the continuing decline.
