In the research of project, according to the theories and methods of botanical classical classification, taking advantage of the viewpoints of plant morphology and geographical botany and combining with the research methods of plant population biology, the question which is knotty and controversial in species and intraspecific taxonomical group will be solved greatly, the revision of taxonomy about Cistanche will be finished too.The research result indicated that: besides the five kinds of Cistanche Hoffmg.et Link mentioned in"Flora of China",there are still three ones, Cistanche ambigua (Bge) G.Beck , Cistanche fissa (C.A.Mey) G.Beck and Cistanche mongolica G.Beck.Meanwhile,another kind of C.salsa(C.A.Mey)G.Beck C.salsa(D.A.Mey)G.Beck var.albiflora P.F.Tu et Z.C.lou is left. Moreover, C.lanzhouensis Z.Y.Zhang is combined with C.sinensis G.Beck .C.tubulosa(Schenk)R.Wight parasitize in the roots of Tamarix. C.salsa(C.A.Mey)G.Beck parasitize in the roots of Chenopodiaceae,Tamaricaceae,Zygophyllaceae and so on shrub plant. C.Salsa (C.A.Mey)G.Beck var. albiflora P.F.Tu et Z.C.Lou parasitize in the roots of Kalidium. C.sinensls G.Beck parasitize mainly in the roots of Reaumuria soongorica(pall.Maxim) ) shrub plant. C.ambigua(Bge)G.Beck and C.deserticola Ma emend.Ma)parasitize in the roots of Haloxylon . Nanophyton erina ceum parasitize in the roots of C.fissa(C.A.Mey)G.Beck). C.mongolica G.Beck parasitize in the roots of Artemisia.
