Contracting And Outsourcing Of Logistic Tasks For Fourth Party Logistic Company

As the development of economical globalization and high technology and diverse personalized customer's demands, most enterprises have to outsource their parts of non-core business and function, especially logistic business, in order to strengthen their core competence, decrease their logistic cost, improve response ability to customer's demand and customer's service level, and strengthen competing ability. The third party logistic company has its own weakness, and only provides limited service, such as store management, and freight agent, and so on. It can't satisfy the modern enterprise's demand of one-station or integrated logistic service. So the fourth party logistic company is born. As a supplier of logistic service with leadership, fourth party logistic company integrates outstanding third party logistic companies and management consultancy and other service supplier, and estimate, design and conduct the integrated supply chain program for its customer. The logistic service with high efficiency and profit provided by fourth party logistic company creates more values for its customer.After establishing organizational structure and starting operating, the first problem the fourth party logistic company should consider is how to obtain logistic tasks from manufacturing company or commercial company, and then how to outsource the obtained logistic tasks to third party logistic company so that it can finish these obtained logistic tasks by managing and coordinating the third party logistic company. In order to solve this problem and provide some help in theory to the fourth party logistic company's development, what are concerned in this dissertation are as follows:First, this dissertation sum up the basic theories and researching outcome on the fourth party logistic, including definition of fourth party logistic, what makes it born, basic functions, operating model, business process, and so on. Base on the conclusion, researching subject of this dissertation was posed, that is, how does fourth party company determine the contracting price of the logistic tasks or the price of logistic service, and how does fourth party company outsource the obtained logistic tasks to third party logistic company so that it finishes the logistic tasks by managing and coordinating the third party logistic company.Second, how to obtain logistic tasks is studied. This dissertation focus on the pricing of the logistic tasks which is urgent to be solved for fourth party logistic company, and use respectively incomplete information bargaining game and dynamic game to solve the pricing problem in integrated operation model and innovational operation model.Third, how to outsource obtained logistic tasks to third party logistic company is studied. Multiple attributes combinatory auction is suggested to solve this problem. That is, to use combinatory auction find out the third party logistic company who have the competency to undertake the logistic tasks in outsourcing and its demanding amount of logistic tasks in outsourcing. And then using multiple attributes making decision determines the optimal outsourcing scheme. The method this dissertation suggests combines the selection of third party logistic company into the outsourcing of logistic tasks.
