The thesis stems from the National High-tech Research and Development Program (863) project"Intelligent navigation system and application software development Based on Dynamic Traffic Information"(2007AA12Z242),to research navigation space-time data model that is on the base of dynamic traffic information.With Chinese economy increasing continued and fast , city traffic problem has become one of bottleneck problems of city economic development. Society needs increase day by day about traffic dredging,vehicle navigation and personal travel line. transportation information services for the purpose of navigation shows the accelerating growth in demand.Navigation data model is one of the most important applications in ITS and LBS,as a base of navigation application, investigation about navigation data model is always a hotspot in research domain of traffic geography information system.There are some features of navigation data,as large amount of data, large data mantle area, complex connection of idea and topology, frequent data update,it also need to link and integration with dynamic information. lacking support to tense features is a common question for domestic navigation data model. lacking consideration to dynamic traffic information essential caused that Chinese Navigation Products also Stayed at static navigation phase, which only solved the problem"how to go from A to B",but didn't solve"how to go from A to B is faster". Based on this consideration, based on summarizing development status of navigation data model,we used object-oriented method,set conceptual model, logic model and Physical model of integration navigation space-time data model. Based on VB and Mapx exploitation tools,to use road network of zhuHai district Guangzhou city As an example,we set integration space-time database, realized some functions as store, display, demand, management of space-time data and so on .This paper involves five chapters:every chapter's content is generalized as follows:Chapter One: introductionFirst, thesis research background is introduced; Second, research of navigation space-time data model in overseas is reviewed exhaustively, thesis research significance is also summarized;finaly, main content and structural framework of this paper is presented.Chapter Two: base of navigation space-time data modelSpatio-temporal data model and navigation data model are introduced mainly,on the base of discussing several representative spatio-temporal data model and existing navigation data model, chapter two advanced integration navigation space-time data model.Chapter Three: object-oriented integration navigation space-time data modelFirst, object-oriented method is introduced,on the base on that, according to unique requirements of navigation data model about information content, topology relationship description and essential expression, we design object-oriented integration navigation space-time data model, including conceptual model, logic model and physical model.Chapter Four: examples analysisFirst, structural framework and related definitions of Mapx and Oracle is introduced; Second, based on VB and Mapx exploitation tools,to use Road network of zhuHai District Guangzhou City as an example,we set integration space-time database, realized some functions as Store, display, demand, management of space-time data.Chapter Five: Summary and OutlookThe fifth chapter is summary of thesis research process, advanced the parts need to be improved and further research works.
