As the most important part of the geo-spatial information, terrain is the most common and complex features in nature. It is closely related to people's lives. The development of three-dimensional terrain visualization has a significant impact on simulation, virtual reality, games and animation and geosciences. The new area of seismic exploration gradually extends to the field which is with complex geological conditions. The indoor design of the traditional seismic can not express the detail of the area of exploration. This will cause to continually modify the direction and design the line in the wild. How to take full account of terrain factor is the urgent.This paper based on complex geological surface conditions and the large terrain data. Firstly, it researches deeply on LOD model,terrain data scheduling techniques and texture mapping. Secondly, this article analysis and comparison the algorithm of QuadTree,GeoMipmapping and Chunked LOD. At last, it summarizes a set of effective mass of three-dimensional terrain data visualization solution which is based on Chunked LOD,terrain data scheduling techniques and remote sensing texture.This paper analyzed the framework structure and data processing, used object-oriented programming to design three-dimensional terrain engine, and developed a three-dimensional terrain visualization system with the engine.
