GML-Based Spatial Information Integration And Application

With the development of GIS technology,computer technology, network technology and related disciplines, the application of Web and GIS bring geographical information increase rapidly in Internet. Besides, the different means and ways to obtain spatial data and organize dispose spatial data ,and they are storaged in different database that lead to different data format, multi-meaning and data models. A mass of geographical information come from different domain. Now , there are lots of WebGIS products, they can provide the function of spatial information application and exploiture. The products almost use their own private data format. It's very difficult to sharing or exchange data beween WebGIS application system. How to integarate and spatial information rapidly and effectively and how to apply integrated spatial information become a challenge in geographical information field.In this paper, GML is adopted as common format for spatial information packing and mediation , and an application GML schema for the system is used for reference, and then a algorithm using for the conversion of geographic data from file or database to GML is designed, then an approach in which the heterogeneous GML files can be integrated and matched is provided. The integratetion of spatial information has come ture . XSLT is used as a table that can be changed from GML to SVG format. At last, web-map publishing format that can be processed , displayed and applied in Web browser.
