Plant taxonomy is one of the basis works of the botany research, traditional classification was put plant information into paper, and spread by books. As the information renewing constantly, the traditional classification system have become more and more unsuitable for fast query about information. Modern computer technology and fuzzy theory can remedy these defects completely.Mountain tai have abundant plant resources, but the traditional plant key of Mountain Tai have little information, slow update speed, and hard to management. This paper is based on the computer technology and makes the plant resources combined with computer, applying advanced database query system to the plant taxonomy which is a very significant work., at the same time, this is the inevitable trend that taxonomy and the modern technology joint track.The paper is building on the woody plants, studied and developed the woody plants informational system about Mountain Tai. This system is based on detailed survey about plants of Mountain Tai, and fully uses the traditional classification methods' scientific and systemic, combined with the generality, directness and dynamic features of network information, broken the limited of traditional informational, used the methods of multi-project, multifunctional and omnidirectional to query for particular taxa, and build a plant taxonomy informational system which not only scientific, but also suitable for public. Developing the woody plants informational system of Mountain Tai, we have achieved intelligent informational and efficient management about the plants of Mountain Tai which provided evidence for landscape resources management and tourist. So we can not only overcome the difficult of traditional classification query, but also implement the fuzzy query of plants, then the convenience, flexibility, comprehensiveness, and accuracy will be improved greatly.This paper introduced the system architecture design, development model design, system development environment, and specified the general design of this system. After that we have concreted analysis the system. The general design detailed description the aspects of login design, informational design, plants management design, plants dictionary design, cipher management design and users management design. The paper also detailed description the key technologies about the realization process and development process.The paper also detail introduced the system functions and using methods, through the introduction we can know how to query the species names, latin names, family names and genera names, at the same time, the morphological characters, characteristic spectrums, geographical distribution, growth environment and economical value of plant groups will be displayed.At the last part of the paper, we have concluded all the works we had done, and pointed out the features and disadvantage about this system, then proposed the modification direction in the next step.
