The article takes the soil enzyme and plant species diversity in the limestone area of central Guizhou as the research object.Through investigating in the outdoors,Gathering soil sample and analyzing in the laboratory. We comprehensively analized the Physical and chemical properties of soil and soil enzyme activity in different vegetation types,As well as the relations of the soil enzyme and plant species diversity.Which provides the theory basis for restoring the limestone vegetation and improving the ecological environment in central Guizhou. Some key finding are as follows:The study showed that the nutrient content and the soil enzyme activity were broad-leaved forest>coniferous and broad-leaved forest>shrubbery>meadow in different vegetation types,Rhizosphere soil enzyme activity were obviously stronger than non-rhizosphere soil enzyme activitiy in the same vegetation types. The nutrient content and the soil enzyme activity were 0-10cm>10-20cm>20-30cm in the different soil layers. The differences of sucrase activitiy, amylase activitiy, urease activitiy, polyphen oxidase activitiy and per oxidase activitiy all reached significant level or a most significant level. In the coniferous forests,The soil nutrient content and soil enzyme activity were not high.Rhizosphere soil enzyme activity was obviously stronger than non-rhizosphere soil enzyme activity. The nutrient content and the soil enzyme activities were 0-10cm>10-20cm>20-30cm in the different soil layers. The differences of plant species diversity was not significant. In the coniferous forests,There was a close positive correlation between the rhizosphere,non-rhizosphere,the different soil layers and the soil nutrient content or soil enzyme activitiy rosity in the shrub layer,Whereas a negative correlation was found in the herb layer. The existance of Coriaria sinica,Rosa multiflora Thunb.,Pyracantha fortuneana,Viburnum foetidum(C.R.Wright)H.and.Mazz.,Rosa cymosa, Rhamnus heterophyllus Oliv.and Broussonetia papyrifera have a great impact on the soil enzyme activity.
