The major national economy and the social development information has the spatial distribution characteristic in the government department. government departments need remote sensing, geographic information systems and other new technologies to achieve spatial information visualization. for the formulation of policies, programmes and solve complex economic and social issues to support decision-making. Economic GIS construction and application to meet this demand.The Economic GIS is composed of geography information foundational management platform and geography information application and management platform and economic geography operational system. The geography information foundational management platform is undered the construction of C/S, maintains and manages the spatial databases to mainly realize restructuring spatial data, processing spatial data with different forms and coordinate system, and restructures and manages the spatial data that has processed to realize gathering the multiple spatial data source. The geography information application and management platform is consists of C/S and B/S. The former mainly realizes the connection of the spatial data and the service data, and the latter as an operational system provides the basic function module of GIS. The economic geography operational system is a service demonstration system; it is built under the certain operation flow and the organization mechanism according to the two former platforms by using many new demonstration ways and methods.this article proposes multi-layered software system, designs major function modules of the Economic GIS, designs organization way and encoding principle of spatial datas, Finally, the successful completion of Economic GIS.This article put forwards a method of gathering the multiple source data—data reconstruction Based on WebService, uses the universal data interface to read data, meet the different service requirement by using the traditional map demonstration way.
