In recent ten years, because of the deficiency of land resourse, especially of energy sources, people think much highly of the development of marine oil and natual gas. The development of ocean resources has entered new stage. Because the resource development is focused in undersea, the international technology has turned to the observation technology in turbid water. Now the mainly method of underwater target observation is laser technology. The development of laser underwater imaging technology has been one of the most important link in ocean development technology. In underwater target image detection, light power attenuates sharply because of absorb and scattering, especially in turbid water. Back scattered light affects the image quality. Now the most common method to reduce back scattered light in underwater target image detection is Laser technology, i.e. synchronous scanning and range-gated method. The key is to resolve the scatter in laser underwater transmission in the existing underwater laser imaging technology. Scatter is the main factor to affect the resolution of underwater imaging in turbid water, so it must to overcome the problem of scatter in order to enhance laser underwater imaging distance and imaging quality. Our country offshore coast water's quality is muddy, in which there is serious scatter. The paper studied the characteristic of laser underwater transmission at first, and then analysis the affect about scatter to laser underwater imaging quality, in order to process the pictures received by underwater imaging in the future. Now we mainly use PSF to process the pictures received by underwater imaging, but this method is not the best one. This paper talked about a method to measure the diffused angle of the picture received by underwater imaging, this method can provide the data for picture processing. It is studied by carrying on a series of experiments in the cistern.
