Land Ecological Environmental Quality Assessment Of Luding County Based On Geographic Information System

Land is the most essential materials and environmental conditions for the survival of mankind, to study and evaluate land quality becomes more and more important.Considering the zone trait of Luding province, the select principle of assessment index and the definition of land ecological environment, we established land ecological and environment quality evaluation system of Luding County after discussing the theories and methods of the evaluation system. Evaluation system includes aim layer,condition layer,factor layer and index layer .And so many indexes are chose as the assessment factors such as average annual rainfall,accumulated temperature bigger than 10 degree,average annual temperature,soil organic matter,soil texture,Normalized Difference Vegetation Index,aspect,slope,DEM and community and economy factors including per capita income,per capita area of plantation,population density and land use.Combination with the two methods Analytical Hierarchy Process and graphic overlay method applied to Luding Land ecological and environment quality evaluation make the GIS function of handling attributes and the spatial analysis function of overlay, buffer, and so on have been utilized properly, And the Land ecological environment quality have been effectively and objectively reflected. First of all, to picture all drawing of diverse indexes, then to set up the weight values of diverse indexes by AHP, at last, the evaluation results have been obtained with the GIS Based graph overlay method. The whole land ecological and environmental quality of Luding County is in good condition.Woodland, grassland and farmland, accounting for more than 80 percent of total land area of Luding County are the major land use types. But the local man-made factors have certain negative effects, such as Shunpo fanning and pasture, overgrazing and so on.According to land use conditions of Luding County, we can properly explore the existing unused land and renovate farmland, pasture, and rural settlements in the scientific methods and therefore achieve the maximum efficiency of land use and the ecological environment optimization of land conservationOverall land use pattern of Luzhou County can initially be divided into five basic Land-use types, namely: low valleys-Zhongshan development zone of brigade integrated agro-industrial, Zhongshan platform-slope development zone with a variety of business, Zhongshan-subalpine development zone of Lin Mu and mine business, animal husbandry development zone in mountain areas and the protection of natural Gongga Mountain tourist areas after considered overall for the ecological environment carrying capacity of land, land development and utilization of the status quo, land use and land coordinated development potential of the ecological environment, population distribution, economic layout and urban development patterns and other factors.
