Improvement of the teaching quality has become a core work of colleges and universities with the rapidly development of colleges education innovations. How to appraise the teaching quality more scientific,fair-mindede and impersonally,how to measurement the teaching quality by the improvement of the students' score,how to boost up the maneuverability of the appraising methods,etc. These questions have become a important work in teaching management. Aimed at those ques-tions,this paper combines with the characteristic of data and continue works over with the task based on the literature[1].We get some significative conclusions finallly,and buildup the maneuverability in practice .This paper includes following respects :(1).For a ANCOVA model with one covariate,this paper gives the parameter's estimate and the hypothesis test by applying regression theory and LSE method. The method is simple and convenient, easy to operate, so is propitious to spread out.(2).This paper discusses the fill technique of incomplete data because the sample data with incomplete unite may do harm to analysis results.This method is non-iterative, and the analysis results based on complete data are more reliable.(3).The third problem of this paper is the ANCOVA model with a random covariate. By analyze it, we draw on the conclusion that when the ANCOVA model possess the random covariate we still can analyze it using the method as before. The only difference is the test statistics.(4).At last,this paper by contrast the results of the ANCOVA model with incomplete data and without incomplete data suggests that the results from complete data are more reasonable,so before we appraising the teaching quality we must fill the incomplete data first."The teaching quality appraising system" based on such theory has been employed by foreign language college of Tianjin polytechnic university. This sug- gests that the method of this paper is practicable .Meanwhile the great advanced and applied worth can be got form the results.
