The icy sea of Liaodong Bay is an important oil-exploiting area in our country, where sea ice events happen frequently in recent years.In the oil/gas exploitation of Liaodong Bay, sea ice is an important marine environmental condition, which affects the transportation of ship, field construction and production safety. Considering the engineering requirements in oil/gas development, the sea ice numerical simulation and forecasting should be a good method to reduce ice-induced economic losses.The sea ice modeling adopts two-dimensional shallow equation to simulate the tidal current. In the sea ice numerical simulation of Liaodong Bay, the drifting of sea ice is simulated in Lagrange equation according to Markovian theory. In the sea ice numerical simulation ,the paper take into account tidal current and wind.In the analysis of sea ice dynamics, the drag forces, internal ice force are analysed.Based on the basic theory and methods above, after collecting the sources of the Liaodongbay, the paper establishes the tidal current model of Liaodong Bay, calculates and simulates tidal current at Liaodong Bay, using the alternating direction implicit method of finite difference methods. Second, combining with momentum equation of sea ice, it establishes the sea ice drifting model. It aslo make the numerical prediction simulating to sea ice drifting, combining with numerical calculating result of tidal current.The result shows that the tidal current model and sea ice drifting model of Liaodong Bay are reliable and feasible.
