As a scientific language, mathematical language is a critical vehicle of maths thought. Since the 20th century, there has been a lot of attention to mathematical language and the reacher related to the methods of studying it. The main reason is, like any other modern science section, that mathematics knowledge and its ideas should be carried by language-a very important media.Comprehensive reading is a word which has been used widely in recent years. It includes various connotations besides normal reading, such as understanding, explanation, etc. It is more appropriate to employ comprehensive reading to describe the complex process of maths language study. The preface in the article has introduced the reach aim and the action research method on "Comprehesion Reading of the Mathematical Language".There are three chapters in the mainstay of this paper. The first chapter states the traditional concept and characteristics of mathematical language, and summarizes the classification of this language from two angles, formation and contention. At the end of this chapter, an elementary discussion on some theories of former scholars is presented.Chapter two first gives the concept of The Comprehensive Reading Ability of Mathematical Language. Then, analyses are unfolded on the psychological level. Concluding from theory and practice, the author believes that there are three main barriers in mathematical language study: how to do the identification and conversion, how to memory the materials and how to express them. To solve these problems mentioned above, four channels are attempted: utilizing active demonstration in maths language study, encouraging interaction between students and teachers, emphasizing class-notes in maths lessons, at last, making good use of multi-media courseware.Because of the special research method, in chapter three, four representative examples are provided to illustrate how the comprehensive reading ability works and how those training measures are applied. These are the definition and decision theorem of verticality between line and plane, odd & even function, the application of binary method to sorting zero points, and mathematical modeling practice.
