Mechanism of vegetation zone distribution in Xilin River basin isstudied from the mechanism aspects from the aspects of wetlandcomposition, dynamic change of the soil moisture content, communityevapotranspiration, perfect of parenchyma, calorific value and species,from the two aspects that affected community composition—water andcompetition. The results showed that he distributions of river wetlandbviously characterized by zonation, and affected by many factors:1,The difference of Contour is the principal condition of zonationfor river basin vegetation.2,The yoke lakes was forming and vanishing ceaselessy in theriver geomorphology, and years later the formed parts may be erosionedagain, That is the Physical mechanism of river wetland vegetationzonation.3,Due to the high deposition frequency in low flood land and lowdeposition in high flood land, the nutrition in different parts of riverwetland has differences. This effect enhanced the ecological effects ofgradient of height difference and it is the hydrology mechanism whichmakes river wetland into vegetation belts. 4,There are another important characters which include Gaussianeffects, succession effects and competitive effects in generation of zoneThe combined actions of all above factors formed bandeddistribution of wetland vegetation.
