Tingzikou hydropower project is the only controlling one whose regulating capacity is strong in Jialing river main stream..It will exert synthetic benefits in flood protecting,power generating,irrigation,shipping,water supply,fishery and so on .It will bring on the heat source impacts of the reservoir after sluice and the whole water temperature structure will be changed.The change of water temperature could take series of impact on water quality,growth of marine organisms and production of industry and agriculture in reservoir region and its lower rivers.Thus,studying the changing rule of water temperature in reservoir is significant to improve water ecology in reservoir region and its lower rivers.Based on the detailed and abroad investigation of the forecasting methods of reservoir water temperature ,the 1-D vertical and 2-D laterally-averaged water temperature model are established and the first one is validated by Danjiangkou reservoir'data. The results show that the rule of simulating data and the existing one is accordant.The 1-D vertical water temperature model was applied to Tingzikou reservoir which is prepared to construct and the the rules of upright water temperature was analyzed.Then,the simulating result of 1-D vertical model was taken as the initial water temperature of 2-D laterally-averaged water temperature to forecast the water temperature of the different hydrological years.The paper analyzed the the current field of and water temperature delamination .
