| Water temperature is one of the important physical factors in water environment, which can affect physical and chemical characteristics of water, marine organisms, crops, water ecology significantly. The space-time change of water temperature could take series of impact on water quality, growth of marine organisms and production of industry and agriculture in reservoir district and its lower rivers. Thus, simulating and forecasting the rule about the spacial distribution and timely changing of water temperature in reservoir correctly is significant to improve water ecology in reservoir district and its lower rivers.Based on collecting data, the paper analyzed the influence factors about the distribution of water temperature in reservoir and discussed the status quo of water temperature forecasting in reservoir. Then, the 2-D laterally-averaged water temperature model was established, which was validated by Johnson's experiment data. Results show that this model can simulate the current structure of turbulent buoyant flow and the spacial distributing characteristics of water temperature in reservoir district. Basic rules about the distribution of velocity and water temperature in reservoir can be reflected. Thus, it can be applied to nature reservoir.The 2-D laterally-averaged water temperature model was applied to Hexi reservoir which was prepared to construct. In this paper, the 2-D laterally-averaged water temperature distribution of Hexi reservoir after built was predicted and the influence on the current field, the temperature field, and the outflow temperature was researched. Results indicated that selecting different outlet hole can control the outflow temperature, which offers a scientific basis to the management of Hexi reservoir. |
