| Chen Guoda is a famous geologist in China. It is quite meaningful to make a research of his geological contribution and an analysis of his science ideology.In this paper, the author first makes separate study of the five main parts of Chen Guoda's geological contribution, namely, concept of Diwa(geodepression) region, theory of progression with transformation between mobile and stable regions, theory of progressive ore formation, Crustobody——A new integrative concept of historic causationist geotectionics and hypothesis of mantle creep-flow and geothermal energy. The development processes and contents of these five theories are explained, and their significance for promoting academic study and practical research is also discussed. The second part of this study is focused on the ideology of science philosophy of Chen Guoda's geological theory system. The author's argument is that the pluralism of tectonic of the crust is a great breakthrough in ideology of traditional geology, the ideology of progression contained in Chen Guoda's Diwa(geodepression) theory is originated from the dialectic negativism of Marxist classic philosophy, and the historic-dynamic comprehensive analysis method introduced by Chen Guoda is an outcome, which integrate ideology of complexity philosophy with geological ideology. It's also pointed out by the author that Chen Guoda and Lakatos'ideology of science philosophy happen to have the same view .At the end of the paper, the author discusses several ways in which Chen's theory is important for scientific research and social development in modern times.
