The Research Of Ebinur Terraces Based On DEM

The area of the Ancient Ebinur Lake is wide and surrounding vegetation flourish.With the change of the natural factors and human activities aggravating ,Lake begans to narrow and appear a dry lakebed,which left many trace lines of lake changing.Ebinur Lake is a typical arid region of the inland lakes and it is very senstive to the change of environment and climate.As aresult,the researches for the lacustrine embankments and Lakeshore terraces system are good for understanging the processes and characteristics of the lake changing. It also can Serve as the basis date of regional environment and climate evolution research.The technological process of this subject is divided into four parts,information collection, data processing, information extraction and analysis summary. This subject used 3S field investigation platform to acquire terraces samples and used TM, ETM, CBERS, MODIS Images as data sources,and applied ERDAS8.6,ENVI sfotware to enhance images information of Ebinur lacustrine embankments.Integrating the actual sampling point,Satellite Images and DEM data,Lakeshore line and terraces are confirmed through interpretation, comparative analysis .The result indicates that Ebinur Lake has gone through many shrink of different sizes. ARCGIS 9.2 Software was used to calculate the area of lake and the volume of lake below Lakeshore terraces and DEM dates were applied to extract water lines. Through above work ,there are some conclusions in the following:①20 lacustrine embankments and 10 Lakeshore terraces in Ebinur Lake are confirmed. This paper applies the 3S technology and the field investigation to determine the Lakeshore terraces . the method precision is higher and the findings are more credible than that traditional method that is the inspection of predecessor experience and interpretion by topographic diagram.②Using DEM dates automatically extrat River Line, the slope of terraces.③Using Ebinur Lake DEM dates and the different terraces Elevation calculate the area and volume of Ebinur Lake in different periods .④This paper Builds the simulation 3D digital terrain model of Ebinur and achieves 3D display and 3D flooding of Ebinur.⑤Using NDVI of MODIS date extracts Information of the water ,which calculate the areas of lake in Different months from 2000 to 2006,after that , the conclusion indicates the Ebinur water change's law about monthes and years in those years..⑥Ebinur Lake terrace formed reasons is analysised by the ectonic movement, the expansion of desertification, climate change, river erosion, human factors analysis and others.
