| This paper study the temporal and spatial characteristics of storms in Qinba areaby using some meteorological statistical methods and 1970-2005 storm data. Theresults show that storms often take place in Fuping and Ningshan of Qinlingmountain. Abrupt and persistent storm are main types which leads to geologicaldisasters in this area. The relationships between storm and geological disaster areanalyzed which will provide valuable clue for geological disaster prediction.
