The Application Research On Implementation Technology Of GIS Web Services

With the rapid development of the Web technology, GIS has entered into a brand-new stage. Web technology brings geographic information so great impetus that it can be more open and popular to the public, industries and departments. At present, Web technology has extended from distributed technology to grid. It gives the web a new opportunity and also makes GIS turn from system to services. GIS Web Service which combines Web Services technology with GIS technology, becomes an important research direction of GIS.The paper follows along with the main research routine of putting problem→analyzing current status→how to settle→implementation and validation, and regards GIS Web Services as the join of Web Service and GIS. From technology implementation viewer, this paper focuses on how to establish GIS Web Services. On the basis of this, this paper puts forward two projects which are used for implementing the GIS Web Services: one is based on ASP.NET technology, another is based on GML/SVG technology. The paper detailedly analyzes the key technology of the two projects, and presents the prototype system of themselves. At last, through comparing the two projects from the aspect of function, key technology, application scope and so on, the paper validates the feasibility and the practicability of the two project.This paper contains as follows:1. On the basis of researching the principle and the architecture of Web Services, the paper proposes the general architecture of GIS Web Services.2. The paper researches the application of ASP.NET technology in the field of GIS, and proposes the project on the basis of ASP.NET technology.3. The paper researches the application of XML technology in the field of GIS, and proposes the project on the basis of GML/SVG technology.4. Through Comparing the two projects, the paper validates the feasibility and the practicability of the two project.
