Spectral technique is an important method for researching the structure of material, which can obtain the characters and microinformation of the sample; It is also a powerful way to understand the microscopic mechanism and control the reaction process of the sample in the reaction. Anyway spectroscopy plays a vital role in the fields of physics, chemistry and biology. In this paper ,firstly,we have solved the key problems of the calibration of the wavelength and spectral intensity of the system. Then using an advanced intensified CCD spectroscopic detector and a fluorescence spectrophotometer we have detected the absorption spectra and the flurorescecne spectra of lycopene in different solvents . The exposure time of the spectra can be as short as microseconds to nanoseconds, the resolution of the spectra can reach 0.2 nm, and the wavelength range of the spectra is 200-900nm. After analysis the absorption spectra and the flurorescecne spectra of lycopene ,the conclusion can be educed:(1) Absorption spectra of lycopene in different solvents: (a) It was found that the absorption spectra maximum (λ max) of lycopene in different solvents including acetone, carbon bisulfide, hexane, ethyl acetate, benzene, petroleum ether change along with the change of the polar of solvent. (b) The intensity of absorption decreases with the decrease of solution concentration. The result shows that in a specified range the absorption rule of lycopene solution agrees with Lambort-Beer Law. (c)A new absorption peak appears in the absorption spectra of lycopene when water was added in lycopene-acetone solution.
