The Service of traffic information is an important item in Urban Information Service。In urban Internal ,Taxi and Bus are two main transport vehicle。Taxi is on call at anytime,whose driver will carry passenger to anyplace according to the requirements of passengers in the shortest possible time,so passengers needn't to know which taxi is the right one。While Bus is run on the regular routes unless special requirements,so the passenger must know some information about it before they decides which bus is the right one。By reason of above,we developed Wuhu Bus GIS to satisfy requirements。This article set Wuhu Bus GIS Development as a research project。The object-oriented Software Engineering theory,Geographical Information System theory are used in article。In addition,some software and components including Map Objects2.0,Visual Basic.NET,MS Access2000 are adopted。In the analysis and design process, we used Visualization software modeling tool to describe our object system in different aspects。In phase of the system implement,we coding and debugging for each function according to the results of analysis and design。As a result ,we developed the Bus Information Query Service system。In the aspect of theory,the relative new theory and technology system,which in Object-Oriented Software Engineering and GIS domain, and their application fields are discussed entirely and deeply。The three developing methods are compared,we adopted the integrated one,"VisualBasic.NET+Map Objects",which is met to actual need in engineering application。In the aspect of technology,the Wuhu Bus GIS is developed through VisualBasic. NET as a interface development and programs design tool,Map Objects which manage and analyze the spatial information by OLE technology,and the Microsoft Access2000 which serves as database management system(DBMS)by OLEDB and Data connection interface in Map Objects connecting Attribute Data and Spatial data in system。In the aspect of application,the Dynamic Segment Technology is applied to build Route System ,which describe the Bus Routes,the Relationship Database technology and GIS technology are used to Bus information Query and Visualization, we fulfilled some function ,such as Place information query,station information query,Bus Line query,Bus Ride Plan query。The results show that it works so well。...
