With geologic prospecting deepenning furtherly, we collected more and more materials such as geology, geophysics, geochemistry and remote sensing etc. It shows more and more important that how to utilize these information resource to solve relational problems. So we urgently set up a whole explanation-decision-system which based on geology, geophysics, geochemistry and remote sensing research ,that is Multi-Source Geographic Information System(named MGIS). Because geographic information system(GIS) has very powerful functions on data managing and analysis, it must be exert crucial effect on foundation of MGIS.This thesis has stressly finished the analysis and design of MGIS based on the father's research, the following are the main production:(1) Review domestic and oversea current situation in GIS geoscience application study ; point out the existing problems of application GIS;Display new demand and the development trend of application GIS .(2) Analysing domestic and oversea existing GIS softaware about its merits and fl -aws; Emphatically introduce the conspicuous merits of MAPGIS and SUPERMAP; Co -mpare two secondary-system-development way: single-secondary-development, integrate d-secondar-development; discuss secondary-development course and predominance detail -ed based on Component GIS(named COMGIS); bring forward the requirement of dev--elopment platform from data inputing, outputing, processing .analysing and capablity-c ost-ratio etc; Confirmed SUPERMAP as the system platform according to the system characteristics, and summarize its component structure,function and speciality.(3) For the contents are so complicated ,and system is very magnificent, we emphasised expound the system analysis and design of MGIS extensively and deeply from data-type, content, structure and characteristic that involving almost all geoscience; Analyse all treatment course of datum in MGIS with dataflow chat ;Carry on data-library design .collectivity structure design, interface design, software and hardware design; organize scheme of source and process; flow, and overall Make Geophysics-Data-analysis-subsystem for example to display system framework of MGIS.(4) Expound the key technological issue involved in system developing including mix -programming technology, mature software loading technology and geological model foundation; Analyse difficulties and foreground that system developing ;all of these make theory and feasibility analysis for actual implementation of MGIS.This thesis offered the implement guide theoretic for MGIS development in future,and Propose the problem that must solve.
