Lishan mountain is located in the south of Shanxi province and at the east of Zhongtiao Mountain, 35° 16'30" -35° 27'20" N, 111° 51' 10" -112° 5'35" E. Lishan Nature Reserve being one of national natural reserves is located in the mountain. Lishan Mountain is called a thesaurus of the resource of both plants and animals in Shanxi and where there are typical warm temperate broad leave forests in North China.Based on the investigation in the field, having 32 plots, the classification and ordination, species diversity, interspecies relationship of vegetation around Baiyun Cave, Lishan Mountain were studied by using TWINSPAN and DCA, various diversity indices and x ~2 test, Pearson and Spearman correlation, respectively. The vegetation was classified into 8 Associations. The results of DCA ordination indicated that the main factors that restricted community distribution were temperature and humidity in Lishan Mountain. The first axis of DCA reflected the altitude gradient which increased from left to right, while the second axis indicated the moisture gradient of soil which increased from bottom to top. Results of the species diversity of the communities showed that with the increase of altitude, richness and diversity indices increased, however, evenness indices decreased, i.e., with the increase of altitude, richness and diversity indices increased accordingly, and evenness indices declined accordingly. Results of the interspecies relationship of the dominants showed that the species sharing with the same or similar conditions indicated distinct positive correlation; interspecies relationship had distinct differences because of different community types. The significant species-pairs from x~2 test was lower than that from the Spearman rank correlation test and Pearson test, and the Spearman rank correlation test was better than the others.
