Content:Wetland is the transition areas of the land and water in the earth, which is the ecosystem with special activity and function. Wetland, forest, ocean were named three major ecosystem types in the earth in outline of protection of natural resources of the world (1980 ), The wetland of Poyang Lake is an international important wetland that can regulate and store the flood of the Changjiang River and protect the migratory birds etc.This paper analyzed the land cover and landscape pattern change of the typical wetland in Poyang Lake from 1976 to 1999 through RS and GIS technology based on image data of remote sensing, topographical data, hydrology statistics, etc. as the key data source .This paper have studied the following content emphatically:(1)Analyze the characteristic of the typical wetland in Poyang Lake. The typical wetland sits in the front of the delta formed by Ganjiang River and Xiushui River which has a land and water interaction model. It is an important area which Poyang Lake and the external exchange material and energy. It has relatively intact series of taking the place of. By the influence of landlocked lake's hydrology course, environment change and human activity, etc., the wetland landscape pattern of lake will all generally present the seasonal variation and annual change.(2)Analysis of land use and land cover of the typical wetland land in Poyang Lake. This paper chose two remote sensing images (MSS image in 1976 and TM image in 1999) and interpreted them. According to the picture materials and relevant standards which the national agricultural district committee made, combining the detailed conditions of Lake Region and research purpose, we divided the area into nine kinds: deep water, shallow water, mud bank, sand ground, tongue grass, reed, grassy marshland, farmland, residential area. Then it analyzed the characteristic of changing of the typical wetland land cover under RS and GIS technology. The result showed that the human activity and complex river system were the important driving forces of the change.(3)Analyzing of the nine landscape types' landscape pattern, their space-time changes and their influencing factors using the landscape theory. According to human activity intensity, this paper studied the landscape pattern and its change's differences between the area of in the dikes of wetland area and out of them.
