Left-handed material (LHM) is a new type of artificial materials. Because it is the material with simultaneously negative permittivityεand permeabilityμ, compared with the regular material, left-handed material has some unusual properties as follows: negative refractive index, inverse Doppler effect, inverse Cerenkov radiation, anti-paralled phase and group velocities, and so on. A Russian physicist named V. G. Veselago is the first man who puts forward the theory of left-handed material in 1968. Because it doesn't exist in the nature, its development is slow. Recently, J. B. Penduy and D. R. Smith synthesized the left-handed material artificially. The studies on the left-handed material are drawn attention once more. The researchers study it in both theory and laboratory and have some achievement. Because of its forward position and tremendous practical value, The thesis mainly focuses on the analysis and study of LHM's structures and properties.Firstly, in this thesis, the current situations on LHM investigations around the world and the theoretical and experimental foundament about it are studies. Further more, we make detailed anslysis of the two constructive means of LHM (metal structure model and LC model).Secondly, we make the theoretical analysis of Perfect Lens made from LHM...
