Wanzhou district is located in the center of the Three Gorges reservoir area. For both natural and human factors, this district is frequently attacked by geological disasters over the years, which exerts great influence on the sustainable development of the society, economy and environment of this district. This thesis studies the geological disasters of this district with a systematic view point.Based on field experiments and detailed data analysis, this thesis summaries the types, development features and distribution of the geological disasters in this district. The geological disasters of this district are studied as one system. With a systematic view point, this thesis analyzes the systematic characteristic of the geological disasters, namely, complexity relevance, self-organization, fractal and catastrophe. Affecting factor—slope of the best of relevance grade of this district is concluded in the use of grey relevance analysis and it provides reference of geology disaster prediction. This thesis uses the fractal theory to get the Wanzhou geological disaster system's dimension, which is 1.38. This provides a quantification indicator of geological disaster system's complexity. In addition, this thesis uses the spatial analysis function of ARCGIS to forecast the tendency of the geological disasters of this district. And a figure of the disaster development is worked out. This thesis finally works out the occurrence deci-district figure and geology disaster protect plan map in the use of fuzzy comprehensive judgment and local economic development planning. This will provide good consult and guidance for preventing geological disasters in Wanzhou district.This thesis is of both theoretical and practical significance because it quantifies the evaluating process on the base of qualitative analysis, and it applies a systematic Mathematic theory to practical problems.
