The self-made physics experiment instrument Golden Section Effect Physical Pendulum is made up of physical pendulum and the microcomputer experiment system. In the manufacture process of the former one, based on the Golden Section Algorithm and the related physics theory, and with about one hundred simulations of Matalab procedure, the author finally designed and manufactured a Golden Gection Effect Physical Pendulum prototype whose structure is reasonable, performance is fine and effect is obvious. In the microcomputer control system development, with the repeated designs and the reasoning, the system is able to gather real-time data, display operating process, record and process experimental data, draw and print experimental function curve, save and examine experimental data of the swing cycle. Enentually, based on the thought of modern teaching theory the author developed the experiment into a researchful physical experiment which has already been launched into the experimental teaching of the undergraduate students.
