Lanthanide activated aluminate phosphor is a newly developed type of luminous material since the 1990's the last century. This type of material, especially the Eu2+ and Deactivated ones, possesses stable performance, environmental-friendly, high luminance and can last a long time and has been studied widely.This article presents the preparation process of the material SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+, the 2-step sintering process is introduced in the experiment. And the proper amount of H3BO3 and Nd3+ is determined at the same time.With the analytical apparatuses such as x-ray powder diffractometer , scan electron microscope, spectrometer, the performances of the material can be fully analyzed.Adding proper amount of H3BO3 can decrease sintering temperature greatly, and in the mean time it can increase the form of SrAl2O4. The study shows that the best amount of H3BO3 is 20%. The study shows that the initial luminosity of the sample sintered at 1250°C and in the circumstance of carbon powder is in a high degree.The study shows that the exciton spectrum is 300nm—500nm, and the summit of its emission spectrum is 510nm. It is also showed that there are two processes during the fluorescent decay process: fast decay period and consequently slow decay period and the luminescence can last for 8 hours respectively.The adulterating of the third ion Nd3+ is first discussed in detail. When the amount of Nd3+ is 0.4%, the material reaches its best performance. And in the mean time, the study comes to the conclusion that the SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+Nd3+ possesses greater performance than SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+...
