Wall-rock alternation is a universal phenomenon and shows important informationof the metallogenic. The discovery of the wall-rock alteration zone usually indicates thediscovery of the mineralization, and according to the bound and the intensity of thealteration mineral could be predicted the kind and the content of the minera. Thetraditional of Ore-hunting indicator method usually gets across ground studying toconfirm the alteration zone;it's time-consuming and hard sledding. It can identify therules of the wall-rock alternation from the remote sensing images, and can obtain thespace characteristics of the altered rock. This is one of the main study matters of theOre-hunting indicator method from remote sensing.Along with the rapid development image processing techniques of the remotesensing and the rapid development spatial analysis techniques of geographicinformation system, The methods of remote sensing combines with geological,physicalgeography,geochemistry have been to a mainstream of the modern Ore-huntingindicator method. With the development of the new method, it apply the extractedremote sensing information, produces a new methods of the extracted mineralizationalteration information liked spectral angle mapper classify. This paper combined theareal mineralization study item in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, usingmultispectral remote sensing data, extracted mineralization alteration information andcombined chemical exploration information, got some research results which are shownbelow.(1) Propose the alternation information with multi-geological information in thespecifically fields, and provide effective clues with the areal study item of theore-deposits.(2) Analysis and summary the spectra characteristics of some alteration minerals,analysis the spectra curves of the type rock and the spectral responses in multispectralremote sensing data, confirm the rules of recognizing diagnostic reflectance spectracharacteristics of mineral ion and alteration rock, and provide foundation with theextracted method of the remote sensing alteration information.(3) Apply the method of high resolution spectra data with the multispectral data tothe work of the extracted alteration information, using spectral angle mapper (SAM)and the techniques of the spectral fitting extracted the type information of alternationore-deposits, and obtained much space distributing information of the alterationore-deposits exactly.(4)According to region geological ore-hunting indicator method, and the extractedgeneral mineralization alteration anomaly information and collected chemicalexploration analysis, the alteration anomaly zones are ranked three grades. There are 4in the first grade alteration anomaly zone (point), There are 2 in the second gradealteration anomaly zone (point), There are many in the third grade alteration anomalyzone (point).
