As Geoscience developing in 21 Century, we have many new wayscharacterized by quantitative, digital, information and network torecognize earth. A lot of problems need to be study efficiently andreasonably by information technology, fast developing computer andcommunication science and based on spatial information. In now days,new technology and methods applied in different fields of geosciencegive new content to traditional geology research, extend research object,depth and scope, enhance working efficiency. Through reorganization andanalysis some typical current information technology and theory methodsapplied in geoscience, this paper supply a historical viewpoint of newscience and technology applying in geoscience and their effects.Through materials gathering and reorganization, this paper makesinduction and analysis to mathematics geology development stage inChina, set forth its main theory and methods, summarize their applyingfields in geoscience. Based on national GDS database and internationalGeoRef database, mathematics geology developing status and trend areanalyzed by document measurement and statistic method.The second technology, remote sensing technique and remote sensinggeology, this paper also induce and analyse its appearing anddevelopment status in China, divide detailed stage of its growing,reorganize and set forth information of each stage's typical works, papers,research institutions and human resource training, technical platform andimportant software tools. Actual remote sensing application in China arealso sampled. Typically published documents quantity in national GDSdatabase and international GeoRef database between 1985 and 2005 arecompared and explained.Thirdly, the appearance, preparation, development andindustrialization stage of GIS technology in China are analyzed andactual GIS applications in Geology are mentioned. Documents quantity inGDS and GeoRef between 1985 and 2005 are analyzed.Lastly, new SIG technology is analyzed and illustrated in itsappearance and current research status and an application system, NGSIG,is generalized in its system function.
