Panzhihua-Xichang erea lies in the southwestern margin of Yangtze plate .In this area ,there is large amount of effusive Emeishan basalt, and also some small basic-ultrabasic rock body. At present, the discovered PGE deposits locate in underside of the effusive Emeishan basalt which are the same time .same origin, same struture but different special location. Dayanzi deposit locates in the contact zone of basic-ulrabasic rock, and are controlled by rift fractured zone. Rock body is zoning.Tthe center of zone is olivine pyroxenolite, augite ,and the margin and the top is gabbro-diabase and diabase, the PGE of deposit seems to be enriched in the sulfide. Xinjie pt ore body mostly locates in proper place of ultrabasic rock fades. The study of areal geochemistry shows the enrichment of PGE and Cu relate to distribution of Emeishan basalt ,and the abnomal of Cr and Ni relate to the emergence of basic-uhrabasic rock body. The study area Pt, Pd abnormal is very corresponding with the distribution of Emeishan basalt .which is controlled by SN, NE, NW strike deep and big rifts.Airborne magnetic survey of the study area shows that there is insidious basic-ultrabasic rock in the Emeishan basalt areaIn this article, spatial database is set up by collecting geological information, such as geology, geophycical prospecting(Gravity anomaly and airbom magnetic survey anomaly) and geochemical prospecting. The author ues the special analyse of GIS as the tool of ore-forming prediction,in which circle four ore-forming perspective areas. Four preferable-finding area and thirteen preferable-finding areas are picked.
