Currently, study on Global Change and Terrestrial Ecosystem(GCTE) andLand-Use and Cover Change (LUCC)become the core item and the importantdirection,and become the most complicated and vitally research contents in globalchange research。Thermal, precipitation and humidity affected vegetation types andit's distributing, while vegetation types choosing terrene—ecosystem。As the drivepower will change along with different space-time scale, we must base onspecifically district and period, when study on the drive power of terrene--ecosystemdevelopment。Although climate is the factor of which determine vegetationdistributing in wide range, its influence is related with the time and space。Thispaper discusses the sensitivity of month average NDVI and main land-cover types toclimate change of Hetian oasis in Xinjiang with 3S techniques based onmulti-temporal EOS/MODIS images, and coupling climatic factor。MODIS data have great potential on applying to monitor climatic factor andvegetation cover, and will advance the application of remote sensing to detectecology environment, meantime, will grow on knowing ecology environment of awhole area and all over the world. All these will provide scientific proof to monitorecology environment of my country and sustainable development in arid area ofwest。In light of the features and data format of EOS/MODIS materials, this paperexpounds the processing approaches of MODIS data, including the Pre-processingof image materials, data-extracting, spatial correction and projection variation, etc.The data processing obtains great effects by the combination of the MODISprocessing software invented by the National Satellite Meteorology Center with thePCI,ENVI remote sensing software。Meanwhile, the thesis offers some concretesolutions to the problems existing during the data-processing, discussingemphatically the projection transformation after space correction , and some waysand setting of parameters about rotation ,subset,inserting value。Benefiting fromthe IDL Language Programming System, NDVI of single image is realized throughband match tools of ENVI and month max value composite NDVI is computed andextracted by the method of MVC。Taking the Hetian oasis as an example, MODIS original image data of 2002 to2004 are used that filed by remote sensing center of meteorological bureau inXinjiang, MMVC—NDVI data are produced ,weather data are processed by somedefinite ways, After respectively calculating slip average value of two months andfive months, we mainly calculate and discuss the relativity between the monthaverage NDVI and climatic factor。We draw a conclusion that month average value...
