Hongqiling magmatic Cu, Ni sulphide deposit is the major study mine area inPanshi city, Jilin province, and main metallogenic native rocks belong to mafic-ultramaficmagma controlled by structures. We assessed rock bodies, summarized metallogenic law,and built synthetic prospecting model to provide a theoretic basement for scientificprospecting in the mine area and its periphery.Hongqiling Cu, Ni sulphide deposit is located in ca. 45km south of Panshi city, Jilinprovince. It is also situated tectonically in the Tieling contact zone between Jiheigeosyncline and Liaodong syncline in North China plate, which is divided by Huifahefault. Strong structural activities and developed magmatic activities are of bettermetallogenic environment and condition in the special geotectonic settings. Hongqilingmine area is surrounded by granite in Huifahe fault. The strata consist of hulan group inthe mine area, which belongs to a series of metamorphic rocks, i.e. gneiss, amphiboliterocks, mica-schist, and marble. The structures are characterized by fold and fault. According to the direction ofstructural line and correlation, Northwest structure is the major developed structure, which controlled the metallogenesis. And mafic-ultramafic rock bodies are distributedalong the northwest fault in Hongqiling mine area. The forming age of the mafic-ultramafic rock bodies varied from Caledon,Hercynian, Indosinian to Yanshanian. It was found that there existed no industrial oreoccurrence in Caledon and Hercynian rock bodies. No. 1 and No. 7 large-scale Cu, Nisulphide ore bodies formed in Indosinian, which was the major metallogenic stage in themine area. And some small vein type and saccate ore bodies was formed in the marginand inner of No. 3 rock body in Yanshanian.
