Research On Vehicle Location And Navigation System Based On ARM-core Microprocessor

Vehicle Location and Navigation System is discussed and designed in this paper. The GPS position information can be received by the GPS receiver in this system, and the GSM communication with the Monitoring and Dispatching center through an GMS/GPRS module is also realized; moreover, the real-time position of the vehicle can be displayed on the LCD.Firstly, a brief introduction is given to Embedded System Design based on ARM core microprocessor in this paper. Secondly, the designation and realization of the Vehicle Location and Navigation System are proposed. Linux operation system is used in this project. The procession of Linux kernel booting, the method of porting Jffs2 file system in Flash chips and the Linux serial port comrnunication is also discussed. Finally, the design and implementation of digital map base on MiniGUI is discussed in detail.
