With the promotion of the west development, the contradiction between the construction of human and the geological environment will be increasingly sharp-pointed, and all kinds of environmental geological problems will tend to more serious because of excessive demand of geological resources and unreasonable exploitation. As a result, it is very indispensable to carry out the evaluation of geological disaster of land for construction, think out a sustainable development countermeasure between the mankind construction and the geological environment.The purposes of evaluation of geological disaster of land for construction are to predict and deal with geological disaster, reduce its losses, protect people's life and properties and maintain socialistic modem successful construction. Without specification and theory available to practice, especially for land for construction with large area, different types, complex origin and mechanism of disaster, so currently used technical routes, methods of study are developed at the primary stage.DAGANGSHAN hydropower station with complicated geological and environmental condition, is the first class and evaluation of geological disaster project as large. Geological disaster evaluation of its land for construction is difficult. on the basis of fully collecting and using the predecessor's information, this paper studies the main environmental geological problems caused by internal power, external power and human's engineering movements in DAGANGSHAN region, as well as systematically discusses its growth characteristic, produced mechanism, seriousness, influential factor and the developing trend in future ,then supplies foundation of geological environmental protection with research region.Firstly, with regard to the achievement of the geological investigation in Dagangshan region. on the basis of natural geological condition in DAGANGSHAN region, evaluation of existing debris flow, landslide and falling of rock or soil (including the rebuilding of reservoir bank) , submergence are carried out. Then, analysis and prediction of potential geological disaster induced by project construction and with regard to the running of hydropower station are carried out, and the possible hazard caused by disaster of debris flow, landslide and falling of rock or soil, submergence, the rebuilding of reservoir bank.Secondly, based on mentioned current situation and the prediction, the comprehensive evaluation is conducted with the fuzzy synthesize assessment and grey assembly classifying. The steps of comprehensive evaluation are to establish factor set for evaluation, to establish evaluation set, to define the factors' weigh set, to synthesis and get fuzzy synthesize evaluation result by using weighed average model. With regard to stability, the complicated degree of geological environment, occurrence frequency and possible economic losses caused by geological disaster, difficulty to treatment measures, social influence etc. of geological disaster, the suitability of various sections of land for construction is determined.Lastly, with regard to the step of hydropower station construction, the measures for the geological environment conservation have been put forward during the hydropower station construction and after hydropower station construction. The relations of influencing each other between the hydropower station construction and the geological environment conservation have been analyzed objectively. Consideration was given to the sustainable development problem referring to the hydropower station construction and the geological environment conservation.
