| With fast development of GIS and computer technology, visualization technology applies in geological domain widely and becomes an important direction of research in reconnoitering of mine resource. This thesis adopts GTP modeling by comparing several data models, and researches the method of 3D visualization.This content includes several parts in following:Selecting GTP as basic data model and setting up intact datastructure.Putting forward two kind of modeling methods, one is aboutgeological structure without fault; the other is about fault. Two kindof algorithm are different, but the step of modeling is same, whichincludes two steps: firstly, forming triangle surface which is lookedas interface of sorts of geological layers; secondly, triangle surface islinked vertically, geological body is formed.3D visualization is realized by VC++ and OpenGL.
