Abstract/Summary:
This dissertation comprehensively analyses and researches the use of BaoTou land's present situation and features as well as the change of land use in recent one decade by using the TM satellite image, also by making use of remote sense and GIS technology at the end of the 1990s (mainly in 2000); furthermore, it reveals the regularities of changeable time and space of land use in recent ten years and analyses the possible causes ( such as natural, economic, policy and so on) of these regularity-forming. At last, the sustainable use of land resources is put forward. This research shows that BaoTou is rich in land resources and has various land types. At present, the pasture plays a main role in this district and the area of forest constitutes the minority. At the same time, the regional differences of land use is evident and the land deserializes seriously. In the dynamic analysis of land use, this thesis studies the quantity and change of land use, the change of space structure and utilization extent and the mutual-transfer of land diversity by using the dynamic and degree models of land use, Markov transferring matrix model and the diversified and significant index. The research finds that the area of cultivation, construction and unused land has been increased and the forest, grass and water area is being decreased in recent ten years; the change of land use clines to the transfer of cultivation and construction and the extent of regional land use has been a little improved. Second, the change of land use results from the factors of nature, society, economy and so on. Among these factors , the policy-controlling and economy-driving are the main reasons of land-use change at the end of the 20th century. Finally, on the basis of characteristics of land use in BaoTou, this research puts forward the countermeasures of this district's sustainable use of land resources.
