Quality Control Of 3D City Model Data

Three-Dimensional City Model (3DCM) is the main contents of CyberCity GIS. With the development and applications of Cyber City, more and more researches focus on the accuracy of 3DCM. So, in application of CyberCity, the quality control of 3DCM will be one of kernel problem.This paper focuses on three parts about the 3DCM data, i.e., the data content of 3DCM, the data collection and its quality control.Firstly, the contents of 3DCM data are discussed for CyberCity GIS. Based on the current domestic main hardwares and softwares, the workflow of data collection is then introduced in this paper. From aspects of data type, the cost of production and the capability of data application, the factors and the work flow that effect the quality of 3DCM are analyzed. Based on the guideline and quality standard of traditional GIS data collection, the author proposes the 3DCM data collection guideline and technological parameter.Finally, These quality control measures are used in some cases of CyberCity GIS projects, and it is proved to meet the requirements of visualization and analysis for CyberCity GIS.
