With the continuing development of the house property market in our country, the surveying work of house property becomes a very crucial part of the house property management, and the work of surveying involves a large amount of graphic data and spatial information. Although the geographic information system (GIS) can manage the spatial information and data more effectively, the current house property data management software, which is indirect in data management, doesn't use the GIS technique to resolve the problem of house property management work mostly. That leads to the separating of the property data and the graphics data of the house property and the bad management level. The integration of the GIS technique and the surveying work of house property is an effective way to enhance the management level. As a key of the management and surveying work of house property, the solution of the house property sharing area apportion problem based on GIS technique becomes a very important precondition.The paper analyzes the relative policies and laws, summarizes the principle and class of house property sharing area apportion and compares the advantage and defect of the realization of two kind of house property sharing area apportion models based on the CAD system and the GIS system. And then, the essay improves the current house property sharing area apportion model in four aspects, which are the statistic of area, the method of apportion computing, the apportion database and the displaying of the apportion result and educed a new apportion model. At last the essay realize the house property sharing area apportion system of the Nanjing city house property surveying system with GIS components, which proves that GIS technique can resolve these problems of house property surveying and management work more effectively and more perfectly and establishes a foundation for the deeper integration of the GIS technique and house property surveying and management work.
