Allactaga sibirica is one of the most widely distributed rodents in Inner Mongolia. In order to make clear the conditions of infraspecific classification on Allactaga sibirica and the distribution of Allactaga sibirica in Inner Mongolia completely, we compared the samples of Allactaga sibirica collected from all over Inner Mongolia. The method of principal component analysis and hierachical cluster were used to infraspecific classification of Allactaga sibirica according to difference in 5 morphological characteristics (including bodylength, earlength, taillength, ect.) and 14 skull characteristics were conducted. The results showed that the cumulative variance of 6 principal component in front was 71.423%, indexes of system clustering were finally determined on the basis of component score coefficient in 6 frontal pricipal component. At last, Allactaga sibirica was divide into 4 types in Inner Mongolia in accordance with the results of system clustering method and distributing features of different population, namely 4 subspecies:Allactaga.Sibirica.sibirica,Allactaga Sibirica.annulata,Allactaga Sibirica alashan Huang, subsp.nov and Allactaga Sibirica haya Huang,subsp.nov. The results showed that the divition of Allactaga sibirica in Inner Mongolia formerly was not comprihensive. Furthermore, some individual characteristics of Allactaga Sibirica haya Huang, subsp.nov was considerable and intersting. Wether it can really come into existance or not should be supported by more experiment.
