With the demand increasing for oil and gas in the world, it was gradually broken through the point that regarding the sedimentary rocks as the main traditional targets for exploration and development. Igneous and metamorphic rocks have already become important parts in the exploration and development of oil and gas, and some progresses have been gained in such reservoirs. The metamorphic buried-hill reservoir of Xing Long Tai oilfield was found as early in 70s in Liao He basin. For the limitations of explorative mean and cognitive ability, it wasn't studied in detail until the inventions and applications of 3D seismic and digital well logging in 80s. And then the development of metamorphic buried-hill reservoirs came into the golden time. There were many metamorphic buried-hill reservoirs were found and higher productive capacity was obtained. As a special rock and a special reservoir, it urgently needs to settle the problems of lithologic partition, relationship between lithologic property and reservoir, evaluation of reservoir and fissure, geological condition of forming oil and gas reserving body. And solving all these problems successfully will also offer evidences for metamorphic reservoir development later.Some metamorphic buried-hill reservoirs have been discovered in the world, and the reservoirs have been studied for many years. Being the regional difference in lithologic property and reservoir space, it difficult to get to an accordant researching method and technique. There fore the referential data is limited in associative researches. On the other hand, it needs to study specially according to the regional situation in practice. In order to meet the productive demand of oil and gas, some concrete researches were completed for certain reservoirs in Da MinTun sag, but there wasn't an accredited method summarized from these projects.In this paper, comprehensive research methods on metamorphic buried-hill reservoir were finished after looking up quantities of relative data, comparing the virtues and the applicability and investigated examples both from native and international. Dong Sheng Pu oilfield, which is abundance of data, is one of the metamorphic buried-hill reservoir in Du min Tun sag. Thus several works was done about it as following: (1) The regulation and partition for dividing the type of metamorphic rocks, the types and the distribution of metamorphic rocks in Dong Sheng Pu reservoir; (2) The relationship between the form of the reserving space and the lithologic property. (3) The geological condition of forming metamorphic reserving body. (4) The partition and the feature of reserving space type. (5) The evaluating method of metamorphic rocks. (6) The studies of metamorphic rocks for the sensitive analysis and etc.After detail study, several results were gained as following: (1) The lithologic types are mainly regional metamorphic rocks. They have three classes and more than ten kind of types. According to the situation of fissure development and the confirmation from test and production, the rocks, which mainly consist of felsic chorismite, are good reservoirs; The rocks mainly consisted of gneissgranite are bad reservoirs; And the rock made of amphibole is beyond the reservoirs. (2) The level of early fissure and its opening were controlled by lithologic property; there was not intimate relationship between the metamorphic rock consolidation later and the lithologic property. (3) Four steps were divided in the course of forming oil and gas metamorphic reserving body. They are diagenesis and evolutionary phase, reservoir space developing phase, oil-forming and assembling phase and forming oil and gas supplying phase. (4) The factors related with metamorphic reservoir space are crystallization, structure, physical weathering, and chemical eluviation.In a word, a researching method has been founded through systematic studies for metamorphic reservoir in Da Min Tun sag.
