Preliminary Study On Parmelia And Xanthopramelia Lichens In Xinjiang

This paper is a part of my tutor-Abdulla @ Abbas ' research program supported by nation science fund. It is about a preliminary study on Parmelia and Xanthoparmelia lichens in Xinjiang. All specimen studied have been collected from nineteen counties of Xinjiang , at over one hundred localities since 1980. The number of the specimen is over nine hundred. By my studying, I find there are five Parmelia species and twenty-nine Xanthoparmelia species in Xinjiang now . And, there are one new species (Parmelia omphalodes) to China and three new species to Xinjiang among Parmelia lichens and two new species (Xanthoparmelia affinis, Xanthoparmelia geesterani) to China and twenty new species to Xinjiang among Xanthoparmelia lichens . In addition, I checked chemistry of every species by using color test and TLC(using MCT to some species ). I checked the Xanthoparmelia lichens' apothecia by using microscope. Finally , I described all of the species. And then, I made key to Parmelia and key to Xanthoparmelia.I do a preliminary phytogeography study on lichens in Xinjiang.
