Research And Realization On VGIS Platform Of Urban Section Sight Based On IDL

The research and application of VGIS are in beginning stage, focus on building virtual environment in 3-D, the realization of foundational CIS function, 2D interactive simulation, but the expensive cost limits the application popularly.The VGIS platform software is developed by the research, in which the Liaoning Technical University Campus and Eastern settlement section with VGIS have established. The character of the research is to develop VGIS in bottom layer with high flexibility and wide extension and tries to realize the virtual functions effectively, such as the 3-D simulation, distribution query, attachment of texture, the spanning, spinning process and fly simulation of spatial objects. The normal CIS file type梥hapefile can be identified in the system. Meanwhile, the system also supports VRML files and The DXF file of the AutoCAD. As a phase result, the software still needs to be further developed in the functions of irregular roofs, and so on.
