| It is of great difficulty for the traditional Notebook PC to be searched out when it is missing or stolen because there is no effective means to track it far away. Consequently, lots of confidential information of that computer will be gone, and the results are disastrous.In this.paper, a kind of secure platform (system) is proposed, which combines G3 (Integration of GPS, GSM, GIS) with the technology of information security and in which a moving unit equipped in the moving object-an intelligent device for trace and communition is contained. What's more, after hardware minizing, this device can be embedded in the notebook PC, which enables the track on this platform.The system, designed in this paper, consists of three parts including client-software, command headquarters and mobile cell, which communicate with each other over Internet or GSM network. Ensured by the technology of information security, the three parts integrate and operate harmoniously. When the lost notebook PC is tracked, under the control of command headquarters, the current position of the notebook PC can be gained from afar thanks to the client-software. Inaddition, if the notebook PC isn't stolen, the embedded intelligent device can function as a position-information offerer, which benefits the traveling and navigation a lot. The system composition and operating principle is presented in this paper, and the process of tracking notebook PC is introduced in detail as well.In the light of the system proposed in this paper, the visible position-information is available and which shortens the time in search of the lost notebook PC. Hence, it is very helpful to investigate theft-cases and avoid disastrous results. At the same time, data guarded by the technology of information security, can be transfered in time safely through the computer network. So the system can also satisfy multi-users with multitasks, and the search for notebook PC can be implemented with little district limitation. |
