Analysis On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Geographic Information Security Supervision In China

Geographic information is critical national basic and strategic resource, which is broadly applied in economy development, national defense construction and social development. With the increases of quick development of information and communication technology as well as the cases of breach of confidence in recent years, the issues of geographic information security supervision is increasingly high-profile, which even become one of strategic agendas about national security. Additionally, imperfect laws and regulations, backward supervision technology, and sever supervision environment make security risk worse. In order to maintain national security interest and further develop geographic information industry, it is quite necessary to build a wide geographic information safety net and to balance geographic information share and confidentiality.This article is composed of five parts. The first part is the introduction that talks about the reason and research significance of topic, as well as domestic and international research status, structure of thesis, research methods and highlights of research. Based on the current situation the article analyzes the problems of poor geographic information security supervision in order to provide foundation of the following solutions. The fourth part uses the foreign successful experience of geographic information security supervision. Because the domestic geographic information industry started lately, it is worthy to take the foreign successful experience of geographic information security supervision as an example. The fifth part offers the options of enhancing our country’s geographic information security supervision combined with our country’s actual situation. The whole article centers on four dimensions:geographic information security supervision’s system and mechanism, laws and regulations, technologies, and environment. This article is working on getting geographic information security supervision’s system to safeguard national security and promote economic and social development.
