Analysis,Design And Implementation Of Information System Based On WebGIS

Along with the development of Computer Network Technology,it becomes an important program how to use GIS (Geographic Information System) to Internet/Intranet,that-is WebGIS. WebGIS implements query online and job process with GIS based information publication,data share and intercommunion in Internet and makes enterprise users access GIS data by Web viewer directly,create thematic map and analyze GIS data. WebGIS changes GIS technology's structure from C/S to B/S.WebGIS has strongpoint thereinafter:1. the full extent of data access;2. independent of operation system;3. lower expense;4. easier operation;5. high-powered calculation ability.Maintenance and management on expressway is wide range and dependent on technology. Maintenance quality effects expressway's work,especially expressway's maintenance need much fund,so high technology and scientific management can save much money and get high praise. Expressway maintenance and management information system is the information system which can store mass road's information and assist management decision-making.The paper introduce the research and development of maintenance and management information system in HuBei province expressway based WebGIS,expatiate information system structure and pivotal technology in Internet/Intranet,discuss how to get spatial data and make vector map. The paper also contains the method of information publication in the network,implementation of WebGIS and database,transmission and control of spatial data. In the end,the author analyzed WebGIS technology outlook and put forward his own opinion.There are four parts in the paper:1. How to get and store GIS data. GIS data has its own properties,so GIS data has multilayer mathematic model and storage mode.2. How to publish information in Web. The author compares some method of information publication and implements information publication using ASP.3. How to design system structure and function. The author discuss WebGIS's development and properties,research the architecture of the software products and put forward a blue print to actualize WebGIS function.4. How to design and manage GIS data in DBMS. Different from traditional information system,GIS has much metadata,so DBMS has to manage two kinds data:attribute data and spatial data. The author expatiate the implement of management of GIS data.5. System architecture. Using canonical GIS design method,the author discusses the flow-sheet,compares two blueprints and estimates system security.
