Land is one of the most important resources of the human survival. In today's world, the rapid growth of the population and the decline of the cultivated land and forest area has become one of the most important issues in global change, which makes the land use become the hot topic in the world. How to reasonably use limited land resource, improve the land utilization, realize sustainable use of land has become an increasingly important research subject.This pater with remote sensing and geographical information system as the foundation, adjudicates remote sensing image processing and interpretation through 3-part landsat TM of the states from 1986 and 1995 to 2000, match with 2008 centrifuged adjudicates second land survey data states. the comparative method to extract after classifying the research area 1986-2008 land use/cover the dynamic change of position area and type based on this, it further using land use/cover transfer matrix (ConversionMatrix) land utilization degree index landscape index and so on many kinds of mathematical model, analyses the research area land use/cover's law of dynamic change characteristics and drive causes the results indicate. The results showed the following six aspects of the study.(1) Change of the LUCC in the Suzhou district was obvious from 1986 to 2008. On the whole,cultivated land conversion output was more than input, and the main output was the conversion to grassland and construction site and unused land, while the main input source was the unused land. The forestland output was the conversion to the grassland and cultivated land, and the main input sources were the unused land and cultivated land. The change of the grassland was the conversion to forestland and cultivated land and input sources were mainly from forestland and cultivated land and unused land,also the unused land is greatest proportion of states. Total area of proportion of little centenary changes,and turn inwards source are mainly between in the grassland and the cultivated land and unused land.The main source of conversion to construction site was the cultivated land and the output was the conversion to grassland.The mainly transformation of the unused land is between cultivated land and grassland and urban and rural residents land.(2) In the view of the trend and state index of the single land use,there was frequent bidirectional conversion of all the land use types in the region,showing balanced conversion. On the whole,the district of the farm land conversion to other land use types was more than the opposite,showing the falling trend. The area of the construction site conversion to other land use types was less than the opposite,showing the rising trend. In the view of the overall trend and state index of all the land use change in the region,there was frequent bidirectional conversion of all the land use types,showing irregular variation in the balanced conversion.(3) After analyzing the land use indexes of the Suzhou district, which showed that the Suzhou area belonged to farming ozean with high density of population , but efficiency of the land use and intensive degree was also high. Regional land use degree was really very low, which can be improved a lot in due course.(4) In the view of the calculation and analysis of the ecological landscape indexes of the Suzhou area, the result showed the overall landscape types stayed in the unstable state. There was more active state of the landscape ecological process and there was rather large difference among each landscape plaque.The Suzhou area was the intensity of the landscape heterogeneity and rising degree of the fragmentation and low landscape diversity.(5)After analyzing the change of LUCC, the results showed that the reason could be mainly attribute to nature, economy, urbanization and human.(6)According to the problems of LUCC in the study area, some reasonable suggestions were given, such as rational utilization of construction land in urban and rural, carrying out the cultivated land protection policies strictly and improving the quality of cultivated land steadily. Strengthening the construction of water conservancy facilities, sufficient, reasonable utilization of water resources is also needed. We must improve land ecological environment, increase for windbreak and sand-fixation, soil and water conservation area. It is really significant to adjust and improve land layout measures, such as land use efficiency, so this paper puts forward rational development states adjudicates the adaptive measures.
