Based on the TM,ETM+ Remote Sensing data in 1994 and 2008, study on the regional of Eastern Qilian Mountain. Used the application of Remote sensing digital image processing, analyse space distribution, combined with quantitative method of Landscape Ecology, chose eight indicators: Patch area,Patch number,Patch connec-tivity, Mean patch fractal dimension, Rate of change, Matrix ratio, Rate of change of plaque number and area, Patch density rate of change. Through the differential features of Landscape at Eastern Qilian Mountain and the ecological environment actuality, Quantitative and Qualitative analyse the change regularity about the stability of Eastern Qilian Mountain Landscape. To provide a basis for the sustainable development of Eastern Qilian Mountain Landscape ecosystem. The results shows that:(1)From the stability of Matrix point view, the area of Grass is the biggest of all. Through the connectivity of every Landscape patch. We can analyse that the highest connectivity is Grass. It can determine: Grass is the Matrix of Mountain landscape,and its the highest connectivity part of the Landscape about Eastern Qilian Mountain.(2)From the Patch characteristics stability analysis: The highest is grass. Secondly is water , The third is forest, ice and The lowest is bush. Their landscape stability index from high to low order is;0.996,0.859,0.805,0.722,0.535,0.516. In general, grass, forest, ice and water has a degenerate trend in totality.it is reduced both in quantity and area,and the degenerate region is replaced by bush and bare.The highest stability of patch is the middle or small size.It is significant for make the Landscape ecology plan and the area ecology stability.(3)From the shape of patch analysis: In all types of landscape ice landscape shape becomes complicated and stability in >10000 hm2 patch-level. From patch shapes to see all the landscape type: the shape of ice-snow landscape above 10000hm2 will be complex and have the highest stability; the shape of meadows and forest landscape will be regular.and have a low stability; the shape of ice-snow and wasteland landscape with 100-1000hm2 will be complex and have the higher stability.The other landscape will be regular.And have the lower stability. the shape of ice-snow landscape with 1-10hm2 and 10-100 hm2 will be complex and have the highest stability; The other landscape will be regular.And have the lower stability.The patch area less than 1hm2 will be complex and have the higher stability; The other landscape will not be noticeable.(4)From the landscape spatial relationship and Landscape heterogeneity analysis: Study from the landscape Patch connectivity and Patch density stability analysis: the highest connectivity of patch is grass. The second one is water. Followed by forest, ice, bush. And the lowest is bare. The index of them from high to low is: 0.996, 0.859, 0.805, 0.722, 0.535, 0.516. All of the Stability components of landscape structure in the > 10000 hm2.Other changes in the stability of different scales.Qilian Mountain is the formation of the Hexi Corridor region's critical water, the ecological stability of their relationship to the survival of the oasis in the Hexi Corridor and sustainable development. In order to increase the Qilian Mountain secosystem stability, it is necessary to utilize the water in reason enlarge vegetation overlay area and increase life-form diversity .
